I am an experienced educator with nearly a decade of service in both special and general education classrooms, working with students from kindergarten through eighth grade. My mission as an educator has always been to foster a welcoming and engaging learning environment for all students.

Throughout my career, I’ve dedicated significant time to supporting students who face challenges in reading—particularly those with dyslexia. My passion for literacy instruction led me to pursue extensive training in the science of reading, including a two-year journey to become a certified Orton-Gillingham instructor. During this time, I completed over 200 hours of practicum teaching and 100 hours of coursework focused on understanding the neurological foundations of reading development.

I made the difficult decision to step away from my role as a special education teacher to focus on my own well-being and that of my family. This transition allowed me to pursue a new path—creating high-quality English Language Arts curriculum and classroom resources designed to support all learners, especially those with dyslexia.

My classroom experience includes working in K–2 learning support and intermediate emotional support settings, using a variety of instructional models including small group, whole group, and co-teaching. Along the way, I’ve discovered what works, what doesn’t, and how to adapt with empathy and resilience.

Today, I am excited to share my knowledge, insights, and creative passion with fellow educators through this blog and the resources I develop. My goal is to equip teachers with practical, research-based tools that enhance student engagement and success—because every student deserves the opportunity to thrive.

When I'm not creating resources I enjoy spending time with my husband, daughter, and our corgi as well as our extended family and friends. I love to cook a delicious meal, try new restaurants and have a cup of delicious coffee in my hands. We enjoy time outside riding in our jeep or exploring the surrounding areas, watching movies, doing home improvement projects, and enjoying the simple moments in life. I love all things New England, especially the state of Vermont which is my second home. We spend a great deal of time involved in our church working with family ministries and missions.
